Special Issue Introduction
Global warming and the frequent occurrence of extreme weather have led to an increasing risk of landslide disasters around the world, posing a serious threat to people's lives, property and infrastructure in mountain areas. Therefore, landslide disaster prevention and mitigation are the focus of engineering and academic circles. However, due to the complexity of geological conditions and the uncertainty of external influences, landslide risk prevention and control have brought additional challenges. This Special Issue will focus on Forecasting, Assessment and Mitigation of Landslide Risk.
Selected topics include, but are not limited to:
● Landslide mapping and susceptibility
● Landslide identification
● Landslides monitoring and early warning
● Landslide prediction and forecasting
● Landslide simulation and risk assessment
● Landslide prevention and mitigation
● Resilience assessment and improvement
